SLD currently employs 10 staffs who have an impressive mix of experience and knowledge in the fields of computer vision, robotics, electronics, mechanical engineering and software development. All of our employees are highly qualified with many concurrently studying at PhD level. Dr Ala Al-Obaidi is the Chief Executive Officer of SLD. He has over 15 years experience in research and development mainly involving the development of laser and optical sensors. He has published over 60 research papers in the field of optical sensing and laser spectroscopy and is well known and respected on an international scale in the sphere of laser technology. “SLD is very fortunate to have a profusion of highly qualified and experienced scientists and engineers working within it.
