Laser Smart Pig

The Laser Smart Pig has been built to enhance the reliability of a pipeline and act as an early warning system for potential defects within it. It is a highly advanced inspection sensor providing high resolution 3D imaging for inline inspection of gas, water, chemical and light oil pipelines.

This ground-breaking technology operates with high speed laser scanning to produce a virtual reality 3D image of internal pipelines. It is capable of pinpointing any defects due to corrosion, erosion and any geometric deformation with an accuracy that can exceed a tenth of a millimetre.

The LSP1 is built with a long battery life and massive data storage allowing it to survey a large pipeline that is hundreds of kilometres in one single run.

It is supported with human-to-machine interfacing software for clearly marking and finding the defect in video motions as well as single and a multi-imaging display formats.

The device works independently and is structured in a way that it is flexible to pass through different shapes and bends of pipelines and is simple to operate without specialist knowledge.
